Online Safety

We are fully committed to doing all we can to ensure the safety of the children when they use the internet at school.

Measures are in place to reduce the chance of children seeing any inappropriate material but we also teach the children the skills needed to:

  • recognise that information is not necessarily factual and that sources should be checked
  • how to behave online when using social networking sites and instant messaging
  • how and where to seek advice and support should anything happen which makes them feel uncomfortable.

You can follow this link to find more information to the computing curriculum which has more detail on the online safety taught to our children: Computing Curriculum NFPS

The links below provide parents with additional information about E-Safety:

CEOP

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre help children stay safe online.

When should I report to CEOP? Has someone acted inappropriately towards you online, or to a child or young person you know?  It may be through using chat or webcam, being asked to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone being insistent on meeting up. You can report it to CEOP by clicking on the link below.
